Pelican is totally committed to health and safety at work. Our policy is to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of all employees, visitors and contractors on site and employees travelling on company business. Pelican implements this policy by:
- Providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
- Providing sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision to enable all employees to avoid hazards and contribute positively to the safety and health at work of themselves and others
- Providing and maintaining a location, equipment and systems of work that are safe
- Arranging for the safe use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances
- Requiring employees to respect and adhere to its alcohol, substance abuse and smoking policies
